Meghan Markle’s best pal applauds her for being ‘kind and loving’ amid bullying claims

Meghan Markle's best friend Jessica Mulroney has applauded the Duchess of Sussex for being 'kind, empathetic and loving'.

The Canadian stylist is the latest of Meghan's pals to come out in support of the former actress after allegations that she had bullied former members of staff.

Meghan's lawyers have denied the allegations saying they form part of a "calculated smear campaign" against her.

Now Jessica has posted a photo of her and Meghan at a restaurant on Instagram to share a message of support for Harry's wife.

Jessica, 41, wrote: "I don’t know that anyone has ever had to deal with the pressure, the politics and the press like this woman.

"In the face of it all, I have never seen her waver from kindness, empathy and love."

Several of Meghan's other friends including Suits co-star Patrick Adams and CBS anchor Gayle Kind - have spoken out in support of Meghan following the allegations.

Patrick, who starred in Suits with Meghan, labelled the Royals 'toxic' ahead of her tell-all Oprah interview with Prince Harry.

Meghan's longtime friend, television producer Lindsay Jill Roth, has also taken to social media to defend the Duchess of Sussex.

Writing on Instagram on Thursday, Lindsay said that "goodwill runs in her bones" as she came out in support of her pal.

She wrote: "Meg's M.O. has always been kindness; goodwill runs in her bones. I know this to be true after 22 years of very close friendship.

"I have seen firsthand how she treats her friends and their families, and her colleagues."

The Queen is understood to have demanded urgent action in a meeting with her most trusted advisors after the allegations were reported in the Times.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: “We are clearly very concerned about allegations in The Times following claims made by former staff of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“Accordingly our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article.

"Members of staff involved at the time, including those who have left the Household, will be invited to participate to see if lessons can be learned.

In June last year Meghan and Jessica were believed to have fallen out after the stylist was embroiled in a racism row.

Jessica was fired from two TV jobs after influencer Sasha Exeter accused her of using her "wealth and privilege" to shut her up.

She later apologised for her behaviour.

Jessica also poured scorn on claims that she and Meghan had fallen out - saying the Duchess was like "family" in an Instagram post.

Jessica and her husband Ben's daughter, Ivy, seven, was a bridesmaid at Harry and Meghan's wedding.

The couple's 10-year-old twin sons John and Brian acted as pageboy's and were seen holding Meghan's veil as she walked down the aisle.
