Meghan Markle recycles nude trench dress for meeting with the wife of the late Nelson Mandela

Meghan Markle stepped out for the final part of the royal tour of Africa today to meet with the late Nelson Mandela’s wife, Graca Machel.

The 38-year-old Duchess re-wore a belted trench dress by ethical Canadian brand House of Nonie that she had originally worn in July 2018 to visit the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition at the Southbank Centre.

It seems unlikely to be pure coincidence she chose to wear the dress again on another occasion where she was paying tribute to the late South African leader.

The dress, which Meghan paired with nude pumps and her hair pinned off her face, retails for £668 and is also available in black. It can be pre-ordered here.

House of Nonie launched to great acclaim in Canada in 2008 and was nominated for the Swarovski Emerging Designer of the Year Award in 2017.

The trench coat style of the dress was remarkably similar to the nude £95 Banana Republic frock Meghan opted for during an engagement on Tuesday at the University of Johannesburg.

Earlier today, Harry and Meghan - who are on tour for the first time with their four-month-old son Archie - met young people and entrepreneurs in Johannesburg and visited initiatives tackling unemployment.

Later, the couple will attend a reception at the residence of Britain's High Commissioner to South Africa Nigel Casey.
