Meghan Markle re-wears Princess Diana's aquamarine ring from her wedding day in Tonga

Meghan Markle is now half way through the couple's royal tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.

The pregnant duchess has pulled off something of a sartorial slam dunk, subtly using her outfits to pay homage to the countries she has visited through hue or choice of local designer. Throughout all the protocol and diplomacy, though, her tour wardrobe has also been filled with personal touches.

On the first day of the tour, mere hours after it was announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were expecting their first child, Meghan stepped out wearing a pair of butterfly earrings and a bangle that had previously belonged to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.

The 37-year-old's tributes to her mother-in-law continued as the couple touched down in Tonga.

Meghan's right hand was adorned with a dazzling blue ring for the evening reception, which many royal fans will recognises as Princess Diana's aquamarine ring by Asprey, which Meghan first debuted on her wedding day.

Indeed, Meghan's entire elegant ensemble was reminiscent of her wedding day, as she stunned in a floor-length white gown by New York-based brand Theia.

The couture label, which was set up by Irish born Don O'Neill, specialises in evening and wedding dresses and already has an A-list following, including Taylor Swift, Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.

The duchess accessorised with a Givenchy clutch bag and styled her hair in her signature messy bun. Again, the same style she sported on her wedding day.
