Meghan Markle 'left out' of Prince Charles' birthday message to Archie

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son Archie celebrates his second birthday today and members of the Royal family have take to social media to mark the occasion.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared a picture taken on their Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Wishing their nephew a happy birthday, the couple posted a family photograph from the christening.

The image showed Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince William and Kate, Harry and Meghan as well as Meghan's mum Doria and Princess Diana's sisters.

Prince Charles and Camilla also took to social media to wish the toddler a happy birthday. However, their shared image was notably without Meghan.

Posting a picture that Harry and Meghan shared on Father's Day, showing Harry with his father and son at his christening, the heir to the throne and his wife wrote: "Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today."

It was a family group shot that The Queen decided to post for the occasion selecting a more inclusive picture from the official photocall following Archie's birth.

Alongside the picture of Meghan and Harry introducing Archie to the world to Archie, she wrote: "Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today."
