Meghan Markle is 'intelligent operator' who will never be apart from Harry, says author

Meghan Markle is an "intelligent operator" who has assumed power despite relatively humble roots, the author behind an explosive book has said.

Meghan has become the latest famous face to become the subject of a biography by renowned author Tom Bower.

Among the allegations in Mr Bower's book are that Meghan threw a cup of tea in the air during a Royal tour, while the Queen was said to be pleased the duchess couldn't attend Prince Philip's funeral.

The book also claims that Harry and Meghan wanted to appear with the Queen on Buckingham Palace's balcony during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations last month.

It also delves into Meghan's past while working as a jobbing actress before getting her big break on the hit legal drama Suits, where she played paralegal Rachel Zane.

Mr Bower has admitted that those who helped with his research of the book were people who were "less than fond" of the couple - with Harry and Meghan having no input whatsoever into the biography.

And he told OK! magazine he is in awe of the power 40-year-old Meghan has managed to levy from relatively humble roots.

He said: "I never deny Meghan’s successes. She’s an intelligent operator who has thrown down the challenge. She wants to control the narrative. It will be interesting to see how she copes with the truth, the criticism and the revelations.”

"I'm fascinated by the power that Meghan has been able to assume."

Meanwhile, when it comes to the future, Mr Bower can't imagine Meghan ever being apart from Harry.

He added: "I can’t see them ever being apart – they are joined at the hip – so there will be no time or space for Harry to reflect and regret the severe levels of harm that they’ve inflicted on to their own families.”

The biography comes as it has been reported that Harry's own eagerly anticipated memoir will be released later this year - in time for Christmas shoppers.

It is claimed that Harry's book, which the prince has described as a "truthful and wholly accurate" account of his life, is now written and has been signed off by lawyers.

It is hoped that the book will be released later this year around Thanksgiving in the US in late November in time for the Christmas market.

A publishing source told The Sun : “The manuscript has been finished and gone through all of the legal processes.

"It’s done and out of Harry’s hands. The publishing date has been pushed back once but it is on track for the end of the year.”
