Meghan Markle has 'obvious' career plan away from Royals as she's set to miss Coronation

Meghan Markle has an "obvious" career away from the Royal Family, as the Duchess of Sussex confirms she will not be attending King Charles' Coronation.

Prince Harry will be at Westminster Abbey for the historic event, but Meghan will remain in California with their children — Prince Archie, three and Princess Lilibet, one.

A royal commentator has suggested Meghan could now turn back to her acting career, with the Duke of Sussex also facing the possibility of taking on an unexpected new role.

Speaking in the Channel 5 documentary Harry and Meghan: What Next?, Simon Vigar speculated: "I wonder whether Meghan will go back to acting. That's the obvious thing for her."

The royal correspondent added: "Harry could easily be a presenter of wildlife documentaries. He has the knowledge, he has the passion."

Elsewhere in the show, royal author Phil Dampier said it will be good for Harry and Meghan to be able to focus on their projects away from the Royal Family.

"The Sussexes reportedly have other projects in the pipeline with Netflix, non-related to the Royals, and I think that will be good for them, to concentrate on those for a while," he said.

A leading PR expert previously told The Mirror that Meghan could star in "some prominent Hollywood roles" thanks to her new connections.

The Duchess gained prominence starring as Rachel Zane on Suits and she reportedly hired Hollywood dealmaker Adam Lilling.

The respected entrepreneur has worked with the likes of Ellen DeGeneres and Nicole Kidman and could help Meghan return to her acting career.

Speaking to The Mirror, Mayah Riaz said: "By hiring Adam Lining, known as Hollywood’s 'fixer', Meghan could be looking for a career in Hollywood.

"Acting is what she's trained in, therefore, it's viable she may have a cameo in a film or even TV."

However, the PR expert said fans are unlikely to see Meghan in any "longer commitment roles".

She told us: "I doubt she would go back to any longer commitment roles such as Suits or any other TV series.

"If it is true the couple have hired Adam Lining, then I'm sure we can expect some prominent Hollywood roles."
