Meghan Markle, Harry and Archie 'spend socially distanced US Mother's Day with Doria'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took their son Archie to spend a socially distanced Mother's Day with her mum Doria Ragland, according to reports.

The royal family spent the day with Doria, who lives nearby in Los Angeles, a source told OprahMag.com.

They all followed the social distancing guidelines as they celebrated the occasion, which takes place on a different date in the US.

The Sussexes moved to the United States to be nearer to Meghan's mum in California as the  coronavirus  pandemic began sweeping the globe.

The family initially set up house in Canada following the shock royal split that saw them launch their bid to start an independent new life away from Britain.

But they are now living their lockdown life in a multi-million-pound mansion in Los Angeles.

Prince Harry recently praised the way young people are tackling the  coronavirus  pandemic in a video message.

The Duke of Sussex sent the message to members of OnSide Youth Zones, saying the crisis "shall pass".

The charity provides state-of-the-art youth centres across the UK and during lockdown has been supporting more than 50,000 young people remotely via phone calls and over social media with digital and interactive content.

Meghan Markle  and  Prince Harry  are believed to be staying in a lavish £15 million mansion in LA owned by Tyler Perry.

The house Tuscan-style villa boasts eight-bedrooms and 12 bathrooms and was custom-built by Perry after he bought the 22-acre site back in 2004.

They have already beefed up security there by erecting 10ft high screens around the back of the property.
