Meghan Markle shared an awkward wave with her sister-in-law the Duchess of Cambridge as they came face-to-face publicly for the first time since Megxit was announced.
The royal woman exchanged a few words from across their seats as they arrived at Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day Service.
The celebration is the Sussexes final engagement before they quit their royal roles in favour of a new life in Canada.
Last year Meghan and Kate greeted each other with a kiss on each cheek, but they seemed more reserved this afternoon.
As Kate and William arrived at their seats, Meghan, who was already sitting down, can be seen saying "hello" and giving an awkward wave.
Harry also says hello, but that was as far of their conversation went, with Harry turning to talk to his wife.
Sophie Wessex, who is sitting behind Kate, leaned forward to chat to the Duchess, while Harry and Meghan chatted to Prince Edward.
There had been rumours of a rift between the two couples in the months leading up to Meghan and Harry announcing their intention to step down.
William and his dad Prince Charles were reportedly "incandescent with rage" when they were sent their announcement just 10 minutes before it was shared with the world.
Today's celebration, which will include a reflection by Anthony Joshua and performances from Craig David and Alexandra Burke, is Meghan and Harry's final engagement before they quit the Royal Family.
It's also the first time we've seen the Sussexes with their relatives since they told the world their plans to step down.
The couple have spent the last few weeks working out the details of their move to step down, with the final plan being announced last month.
Many experts believe they will be disappointed by the strict restrictions the Queen has placed on them, including banning them from using the word 'Royal' in their branding.
They will no longer use their HRH tiles and Harry will drop his military titles.
As they will no longer be working royals, the couple will be free to earn their own money with business experts predicting they could make millions thanks to their global popularity.
Ahead of today's event the Queen shared her annual Commonwealth Day speech, speaking about the impact our decisions have with other countries around the world.
