Meghan Markle given adorable present for Archie on secret solo trip during royal tour

Meghan Markle was given an adorable gift for Archie as she enjoyed a solo trip to a popular arts and craft venue today during her royal tour in Africa .

During her trip to Victoria Yards in Johannesburg, South Africa, the Duchess of Sussex met sculptors, artists and painters.

But the 38-year-old royal visited the workspace alone, without Prince Harry or their son Archie.

Pictures show Meghan mingling with designers and business owners, including Simon Sizwe Mayson, an inspirational man who was recognised as one of the Top 200 Young South Africans in a recent report.

He was awarded full scholarship to attend the Young African Leaders Initiative programme initiated by President Obama.

Meghan also met representatives from Sneakers 4 Change, an organisation which collects and donates trainers to those less fortunate.

Sibusiso Zulu, who founded the firm in 2014, chatted to Meghan.

He was recently selected as a delegate to the Social Enterprise World Forum.

She visited Tshepo Jeanmaker - started by a local designer from Soweto, who makes custom made jeans. He spoke to The Duchess about the growth of his business - which now employs 10 people.

He tweeted: "About 4 weeks ago I got a call from the British Embassy. The Duchess of Sussex placed an order for a pair of jeans and today she came to collect them personally... Surprised her with a pair of dungarees for Archie and the rest is history."

Finally, the new mum visited Young Bucks - a small business that hand makes books from recycled materials. She commented that she used to teach a bookbinding class.

The Duchess visited a small market exhibiting some of the items you can find at Victoria Yards, and listened to a performance by Belita Andre, a spoken word artist.

Furthermore, the creative royal met Mogau Hector Dibakoane, who has always used art as an escape and form of healing for self, a changemaker at heart.

He is the Creative Director at 94 Colours, a company which mobilises young people through art in several community projects in Makers Valley.
