Meghan Markle fans accuse William and Kate of 'excluding' her from Queen's tribute

Another day, another "development" in the rumoured rift between the Cambridges and the Sussexes.

Over the weekend the Royal family congregated at St George's Chapel, Windsor, to attend the Easter Sunday service, which also coincided with the Queen's non-official 93rd birthday.

All eyes were on Prince William and Prince Harry , who appeared to not interact with one another - at least, not publicly.

Now, fans have spotted something "not cool" about a birthday tribute to the Queen which was posted by Kensington Palace's Instagram account - aka the closest we'll ever get to being friends with William and Kate on social media.

Royal sources reveal truth about Meghan Markle's plans to run for US President

Throwing it back to Trooping of the Colour on the Queen's official June birthday in 2016, the sunny post features Her Maj surrounded by family members on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

We can see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, the Duke of Edinburgh and Peter Phillips.

The fact that an image NOT featuring Meghan Markle was chosen has been picked up on by royal watchers - and many of them are pretty peeved.

Queen Elizabeth II and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have appeared to get on well in public (The Duchess of Sussex was absent from the Easter service)

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'like the idea' of moving to Africa for work

"Not cool. Where's Meghan?" fumed one.

Another follower wrote: "WHERE IS MEGHAN?"

A less shoutier comment read: "Where is meghan?"

"Interesting how choose a photo without Kate in it," observed another.

While many Meghan fans saw the picture as a snub, there is a simple explanation for her absence.

'You've been Meghan Markled' appears on Urban Dictionary - and it's not flattering

Firstly, she wasn't on the scene in 2016. Secondly, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex now running their own royal household, they're no longer part of William and Kate's, meaning Kensington Palace aren't obliged to include them in posts.

Other social media users  took pains to point this out in the comments but it seems as long as rift rumours exist, people will look for signs of royal beef.
