Meghan Markle dons wide-brimmed hat for Remembrance Sunday service at The Cenotaph

Meghan Markle looked chic and sombre in an all-black ensemble as she joined Kate Middleton and the rest of the Royal Family at The Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London.

This year marked the 100th anniversary since the first ever two-minute silence was observed on November 11, 1919, to commemorate Armistice Day and all of the service people who lost their lives during World War 1.

The Duchess of Sussex, who watched her husband Prince Harry lay a wreath to honour those who fell in line of duty, was attending the annual event for the second time.

Meghan wore a black belted ‘Boulia’ coat from Stella McCartney’s Autumn 2019 collection, adorned with a red poppy pin. The wool felt trench coat costs £1800 and is still available to purchase online here.

She finished the look with a wide-brimmed hat with leather trim and black leather gloves.

In line with royal tradition, Meghan watched the service from a different balcony to Kate.

The Duchess of Sussex shared a balcony with Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Princess Anne’s husband Sir Timothy Laurence, while Kate Middleton watched the service alongside Duchess Camilla and Queen Elizabeth.

Kate also wore head-to-toe black, opting for a military-style frock coat adorned with a metal poppy brooch and a pillar box hat with net veil.

With natural blusher and a smoky eye, Kate finished the look with the Queen’s pearl earrings she had worn on Saturday night.
