Meghan Markle could 'thrive' as she 'gains control over her public image', claims expert

Meghan Markle could "gain control over her public image" and make headlines "for the right reasons" following her rumoured new business venture.

A brand expert, who has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, says the Duchess of Sussex could "thrive" as she's reportedly set to bring back her lifestyle blog The Tig.

Recent filings indicate the website, which Meghan ran before meeting Prince Harry, could return to the internet very soon.

The 41-year-old has received official preliminary approval to revive The Tig, after she closed it in 2017 upon getting engaged to her now-husband.

The revamped blog would offer tips on food, travel, fashion and wellness and could see Meghan taking on an agony aunt role on the site.

Jordan James, founder of Unlockd PR, has said the site will allow Meghan to take control of her image, if done with "careful thought and consideration.

"If done right – meaning every action is done with careful forethought and consideration – I believe there's every chance for Meghan Markle's beloved lifestyle publication 'The Tig' to not only make headlines (for the right reasons) but thrive once more too, hopefully going some way to help her gain control over her public image," he told the Express.

Jordan also said Meghan should "start by engaging directly with fans" in order to create a successful website.

He also suggested she should focus on "creating meaningful and interesting stories" to allow the readers to create a proper connection to the blog.

Meghan previously spoke out about her struggles to take control of her image during her time in the Royal Family.

"There’s literally a structure by which if you want to release photos of your child, as a member of the family, you first have to give them to the Royal Rota," she said.

Meghan then went on to slam the procedure, and questioned how it made sense.

"Why would I give the very people that are calling my children the N-word a photo of my child before I can share it with the people that love my child?

"You tell me how that makes sense and then I’ll play that game," the Duchess of Sussex said during an interview with The Cut.
