The Duchess of Sussex and her polo-loving husband Prince Harry were shown how working with horses can help children with special needs today on the final day of their visit to Morocco.

The royal couple arrived hand-in-hand for a tour of the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Club Dar Essalam. As they walked past horses in a stable block they reached out to stroke the animals.

Heavily-pregnant Meghan was wearing jeans and a Breton t-shirt paired with a £185 khaki anorak by J Crew that she wore during the early days of her relationship with Harry. She was in a pair of heeled Stuart Weizman ankle boots.

The couple joined a horse-grooming session with children at the club in capital Rabat, before watching a riding demonstration and meeting trainers and instructors.

They chatted to excited children from disadvantaged backgrounds who have benefited from the programmes at the centre as well as a mental health charity and individuals involved.

The duke and duchess later watched a cookery demonstration by underprivileged youngsters from the capital.

Under the guidance of Moha Fedal, one of Morocco’s foremost chefs, they made pancakes from a recipe in Together: Our Community, the Grenfell cookbook.

Meghan was the driving force behind the publication, suggesting the idea to a group of women who got together to cook at a Muslim cultural centre in north Kensington in the aftermath of the tragic fire.

Sales of the book, which was a best-seller, have enabled the cooks from the Hubb Community Kitchen to expand their work producing meals for their neighbourhood.

Later today, the couple were meeting young social entrepreneurs, who will tell them about youth empowerment in Morocco, and watching displays of traditional arts and crafts.

Morocco’s King Mohammed VI was then due to meet the duke and duchess to mark the end of their three-day visit.
