Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'poach William and Kate's senior charity aide'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have poached a popular senior aide from the Royal Foundation, according to reports.

Natalie Campbell is said to be jumping ship to join the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they continue to divide their household from Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Ms Campbell is said to be one of the Royal Foundation's most distinguished aides.

Earlier this year Meghan and Harry announced they were leaving the Royal Foundation, the venture jointly set up by the Princes’ in 2009 to promote their ‘charitable ambitions’, with Kate and Meghan later added as patrons.

A memo on the website confirmed the split, adding that the foundation would be solely run by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge going forwards.

Ms Campbell is still listed on the Royal Foundation’s website as the Director of Insight and Innovation, reports The Sun.

She reportedly formed a close bond with Meghan, 37, after promoting the cookbook for survivors of the Grenfell fire.

It's been claimed Meghan and Prince Harry ’s new venture will be called The Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which was reportedly trademarked a day after the split was confirmed.

A royal insider told the Mail that the departure of award-winning ‘social entrepreneur’ and author Natalie will be noticed.

They said: “Natalie will be a real loss to William and Catherine.

“She has done brilliantly for the Royal Foundation and formed a bond with Meghan when she worked with her on the cookbook for survivors of the Grenfell fire.

"Her loss will be keenly felt by the Cambridge’s."

A royal source told The Sun : “The Sussexes are in the early stages of establishing their new Foundation.

"Natalie Campbell has agreed to lead that process."

Announcing the split, the Royal Foundation said: “Later this year The Royal Foundation will become the principal charitable and philanthropic vehicle for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will establish their own new charitable foundation with transitional operating support from The Royal Foundation.

“These changes are designed to best complement the work and responsibilities of Their Royal Highnesses as they prepare for their future roles, and to better align their charitable activity with their new households.”
