Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could make Oprah Winfrey a godparent to their new daughter, it has been claimed.
The US chat show host has grown closer to the Duke and Duchess over the last few months - since their move to LA and their bombshell tell-all interview.
Oprah also lives just a short distance from Meghan and harry's luxury mansion in Santa Barbara.
Omid Scobie, also close to the couple and co-author of Finding Freedom suggested Oprah was in the frame for godmother.
He said: "If one of those godparents is Oprah - and I’m not saying that she is - then you can understand why perhaps they want to keep that to themselves because even Oprah sitting down to interview them was controversial enough in itself.”

Another source, close to the couple, said Meghan is aiming to surround her daughter by fellow strong females.
They told Heat: "She wants her girl to be surrounded by strong female role models, and Oprah certainly fits the bill. She’s been a real support to both her and Harry since they moved to California, and Meghan knows she can rely on her, no matter what."
However, good friend Serena Williams could also be a contender after becoming incredibly close to the Duchess during their seven year friendship.
Meghan has often been pictured supporting the champ at a string of tennis matches.

This week, Meghan and Harry celebrated their three year wedding anniversary - and a year on from Megxit, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle look set to stay stateside for the foreseeable future.
Aside from the fact the couple have a baby on the way, documents reportedly filed this month provide a further clue that the couple have no immediate plans to return to the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had set up a foundation – briefly and controversially known as Sussex Royal – in July 2019 as an umbrella organisation for their charity work.
But now the non-profit organisation, renamed in 2020 as MWX Trading, is being closed down completely.
Documents filed with Companies House show the couple made a formal request to shut down the charity on May 4, 2021.
They also appointed a liquidator to supervise the winding-down of the foundation, the Daily Star reports.
