Meghan Markle and Harry 'have damaged royal family' and 'should be exiled' amid backlash

Four in 10 Brits believe Harry and Meghan should be permanently exiled from the Royal Family, a new poll has revealed.

A survey of 2,000 UK adults, by OnePoll, found more than half - 57 percent - think the controversial biography ‘Finding Freedom’ - out next month but heavily serialised in the last week - as well as the couple’s public airing of private family matters has been “inappropriate”.

Two thirds - 67 percent - said they had been saddened to watch Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the royal family, particularly The Queen, deteriorate in such a public fashion.

As a result, 40 percent believe the LA-based couple “have made their bed” and should be booted out of the The Firm for good.

The bombshell biography enraged the majority of people who found the public rift disrespectful to the Queen and the family.

The overall popularity of the royals has already taken a beating in light of the scandal involving Prince Andrew’s relationship with convicted sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein, only to be compounded by Harry and Meghan’s decision to leave their royal roles.

More than half - 54 per cent - say their opinion on the royals had gone down since the allegations about Prince Andrew became public.

Almost a third - 30 percent - admitted their opinion on the wider Royal Family had fallen since the ‘Megxit’ fallout.

However, while the Queen remains the UK’s favourite member of the family, Prince Harry is still the second most popular despite the recent furore.

Third most popular is Kate, who is neck-and-neck with William, followed by Princess Anne and then Prince Charles.

Meghan, who is the second least favourite member, behind Prince Andrew, while 37 percent of Brits think it is time the monarchy was abolished allowing the UK to become a republic, while 41 per cent are against.
