Fans think Meghan Markle and Harry just dropped huge hint that they're in Canada with Archie

Royal fans believe Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have just dropped a huge hint that they're spending Thanksgiving in Canada with their son Archie.

The couple took to Instagram to share a message wishing their American followers a Happy Thanksgiving, but the emoji they posted alongside it has got people talking.

The Sussexes are currently on a six-week break from royal duties and enjoying some "much needed" family time.

Buckingham Palace wouldn't share details of their exact plans for security reasons, but said they would be spending time with Meghan's mum Doria Ragland.

The couple shared one of their trademark blue posts with the words: "Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours."

Alongside the caption is a maple leaf emoji, the symbol for Canada which also appears on its flag.

While it could just be a nod to the autumn weather , some fans believe it could be a hint about their plans for the holiday.

Meghan lived in Canada while filming her hit legal show Suits and has spoken about how much she enjoys spending time there.

Meghan is a huge lover of Thanksgiving and royal expert Katie Nicholl says the Duchess will probably be cooking up a feast to celebrate the special day.

She told OK! magazine: "Meghan loves being in the kitchen. She's a talented chef and takes great pleasure in bringing people together over a family meal.

"There won't be any staff helping her - she'll definitely be wearing the apron."

Earlier this month Buckingham Palace revealed the couple will be skipping Christmas with the Royal Family this year.

The announcement fuelled rumours of a fallout in the family, which Harry appeared to confirm in their controversial documentary about their trip to South Africa earlier this year.

A spokesperson said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month.

“Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland.

“This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen.

“For security reasons, we will not be providing further details on their schedule at this time.”
