Meghan and Harry 'set to return to work and have busy period ahead' after parental leave

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly set to return to work after parental leave - and have a busy period ahead of them.

Royal commentator Omid Scobie has claimed that after months of enjoying important family time, the royal couple are getting ready for work on some of their projects.

"We saw them jump from one big project to the next especially when they moved over to the US but they're on parental leave at the moment, enjoying that important family time from home," Mr Scobie told Good Morning America.

"But we are about to enter a very busy period for the couple when they do return to work.

"We will see those first projects from Spotify, the Netflix project coming out and of course their own work from their charitable organisation Archewell."

Mr Scobie said they'd want to be 'on the ground' for those projects and that the couple are at their best when interacting with others, the Express reports.

He said it would be a chance for the public to see what Meghan and Harry are doing in America and why their move was so important to them.

Prince Harry is believed to be returning to the UK later this year and will meet with his grandmother the Queen.

The Duke of Sussex is understood to be planning to return to Britain for a weekend at the end of 2021 to lead planning for the military veterans' Invictus Games in Holland.

As part of his £100million Netflix deal, he will be filmed giving a speech at the Army's rehabilitation centre in Stanford Hall, Nottinghamshire, sources told the Sunday Express.

During the UK visit, he is set to have a private meeting with the Queen which would not be filmed by the Netflix crew.

He is likely to leave behind his wife Meghan, 40, and their children, Archie, two, and baby Lilibet, in their £11m Montecito mansion for his flying weekend visit.

The Mirror has contacted a representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.
