Meghan and Harry reignite royal row and 'lash out at Queen's response to Oprah interview'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have reignited feuds with the Royal Family after friends claim the Queen has not taken "full ownership" of the issues raised during the Oprah interview.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be unimpressed with how the allegations of allegations of racism have been investigated since the pair sat down for the bombshell chat.

During the interview, the couple claim a member of the Royal Family made comments about the colour of their then unborn son Archie's skin - and 'what that would mean or look like'.

Meghan and Harry reportedly believe that Her Majesty did not take "full ownership" and "little accountability" has been taken since the allegations, according to People Magazine.

Harry, 36, and Meghan, 40, left people gobsmacked after discussing a number of claims during the 90-minute interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan told how she felt suicidal after the pressures of joining the Royal Family overwhelmed her - and claimed that the help offered was insufficient.

Following the airing of the show, the Palace issued a statement saying she was "saddened" by the allegations, but added that "some recollections may vary".

Now, in a new chapter of Finding Freedom featured in PEOPLE, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand say the statement "did not go unnoticed".

They wrote: "The Queen’s 'recollections may vary' comment 'did not go unnoticed by the couple, who a close source said were ‘not surprised’ that full ownership was not taken.

"'Months later and little accountability has been taken’, a pal of Meghan added. ‘How can you move forward with that?'"

The Palace has not commented on the matter since issuing the initial statement at the time.

Following the show, they said: "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.

"Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members."

The couple welcomed daughter Lilibet in June and took a period of parental leave, which is set to end soon.

Author Omid Scobie told People that the couple is "thriving" and keen to return to public life - after recently issuing a statement commenting on how "exceptionally fragile" the world is right now.

"They're a couple who do very well in those moments of human interaction. They need to be on the ground," the author told PEOPLE.

"They say that the proof is in the pudding, and what we are about to see is that pudding."
