Meghan and Harry discuss importance of community in heartfelt letter to youth charity StreetGames

Though Meghan and Harry have been based in Los Angeles for a few months now, the couple continue to work closely with charitable causes in the UK.

They recently sent a heartfelt letter to the UK based charity StreetGames which helps children from disadvantaged backgrounds get involved in sport.

The letter thanked StreetGames for helping out the Hubb Community Kitchen, one of the first projects Meghan chose to patronize as the Duchess of Sussex, including helping raise money for Grenfell Tower victims with a co-authored cookbook.

StreetGames has been helping Hubb Community Kitchen with delivering food packages around London for those in need during the coronavirus epidemic.

The couple wrote: "The impact of Covid-19 has been a scary and testing time for so many people from all walks of life, all over the world. However, it is in these difficult times like these that goodwill to others and community spirit prevails."

Meghan and Harry shared that they were delighted to see two charities come together: “We have been touched to witness from afar the coming together of the organisations we champion and so deeply care about."

StreetGames shared the letter written by Meghan and Harry on its Twitter feed along with a thank you to the couple “Wow! Thank you so much Harry and Meghan for your kind words and your continued support for StreetGames and the brilliant local organizations working to support their communities in these challenging times.”
