Meghan Markle and Prince Harry "didn't look happy" in the Oprah interview and have "no way back now", an expert has claimed.
The Mirror's royal editor Russell Myers said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have done "an awful lot of damage" to the Firm after speaking to the US chat host.
He claimed Meghan and Harry have "no way back" to royal life following their bombshell interview.
Mr Myers, in a conversation with 7News, said the duo do not seem "that happy" in the wake of the interview.
He added that reputations were "absolutely destroyed", adding: "There is now way back for Harry and Meghan now.
"I think there is an awful lot of damage done from this interview.
"There were reputations that were absolutely destroyed.
"It's an absolutely extraordinary turn of events and I didn't think they looked even that happy."
During the interview, Meghan said during her pregnancy there were discussions in the Royal Family about how dark Archie's skin would be.
She said: "In those months when I was pregnant … we have in tandem the conversation of ‘you won’t be given security,’ ‘not going to be given a title’, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born."
Harry and Meghan did not say who made those comments, but Oprah later confirmed it was not the Queen or Prince Philip.
In his first public appearance after the interview was aired, Prince William denied racism inside the Royal Family.
Asked at the end of a visit to a school if he had spoken to his brother since Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke of Cambridge said: “No I haven’t spoken to him yet but I will do.”
When Sky News reporter Inzamam Rashid asked immediately afterwards if the Royal Family was a racist family, William, 38, said: “We’re very much not a racist family.”
Harry also said he was "trapped" in the Royal Family just like the rest of his family, including his brother and dad, are now.
It comes as ITV wants to show unseen footage from Harry and bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
More than 90 minutes have not been aired - and palace aides fear it could include damaging revelations.
The development comes as courtiers try to broker peace talks between brothers Harry, 36, and William, 38, before new statue of their mother Diana is unveiled in July.
An industry source told the Sunday People: “There is a lot of interest in showing the interview in full.
“The original programme was the biggest show of the year so far in the UK and was bought by firms around the world.
“Showing more of it would be a guaranteed ratings winner.
“Oprah’s production company know they’re sitting on a goldmine so it’s possible a deal could be done.”
It is understood ITV paid £1million for the rights to the original programme - but sources say this only covered the part aired in the US.
The talk was syndicated to 70 countries netting millions of dollars, but Harry and Meghan reportedly were not paid.
The full interview, three hours 20 minutes long, was cut to one hour and 25 minutes for the CBS broadcast, viewed by more than 12million on ITV the following night.
