Meghan and Harry 'didn't even like Frogmore Cottage', claims baffled This Morning guest

Meghan and Harry's eviction from Frogmore Cottage was questioned by a This Morning guest who claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been particularly complimentary about the property in the past.

This Morning panellist Tom Swarbrick claimed: "They also didn't sound like they liked the free house that they spent a lot of money upgrading."

"During the [ Netflix ] series, they kept saying, 'It's a bit pokey this. You can't swing a cat in here.' So they didn't seem to particularly enjoy it."

In their documentary, the royal couple described their first royal home Nottingham Cottage as "small".

But, Philliip Schofield defended the couple: "[Harry] seems to enjoy [Frogmore] more in his book. In th book there's a lot more about the gardens."

A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan confirmed that they have been asked to vacate their British base.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now live in California with their two children Archie and Lilibet but lived at Frogmore Cottage, in the grounds of Windsor Castle, before they emigrated.

Frogmore Cottage, a Grade-II listed 10-bedroom property was a gift to the royal couple from the late Queen and the royal couple spent £2.4million refurbishing the property, owned by the Crown Estate in 2018 to 2019.

"Kensington Palace sounds very regal, of course it does," Meghan continued. "It says 'palace' in the name! But Nottingham Cottage was so small."

Harry commented: "The whole thing's on a slight lean, really low ceilings. I don't know who was there before, they must have been very short," and the Duchess added: "He [Harry] would just hit his head constantly in that place because he's so tall."
