TikTok star Megha Thakur has died suddenly at the age of just 21, her devastated parents have confirmed.
The Canadian social media star, who gained 930,000 followers after promoting body confidence on her platform, tragically died on November 24 in the early hours of the morning.
Her parents shared the heartbreaking news online and wrote: "It is with heavy hearts we announce the light of our life, our kind, caring, and beautiful daughter, Megha Thakur, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on 24 November 2022 in the early morning hours.
"She loved her fans and would have wanted you to know of her passing. At this time, we request your blessings for Megha.
"Your thoughts and prayers will be with her in her onward journey.
"At this time, we request your blessings for Megha. Your thoughts and prayers will be with her in her onward journey,’ before signing the post ‘Megha’s loving parents."
Friends and fans took to the comments in shock, with one writing: "Please god no this can’t be happening."
While another commented: "Sending my thoughts and prayers to your family. She was such a talented and kind young woman. May she Rest In Peace."
A third wrote: "megha knew how much of a force she was in the influencer space and how many women looked up to her, I told her all the time. we lost an angel too soon. I’m keeping you and your family in my thoughts."
