Megan Thee Stallion has opened up about the aftermath to her being shot.

Last month, the rapper revealed she had been shot in both feet in what she described as “the worst experience of my life”.

On 12 July, Megan and another woman were in a car in Los Angeles with rapper Tory Lanez after attending a party in the Hollywood Hills, when he was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

Early reports said that Megan had cut her feet on broken glass in the car, with surveillance footage of the incident showing her limping from the vehicle and leaving bloody footprints.

However, Megan, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, later issued a brief statement to clarify that she had been shot.

Speaking about how she felt after the incident in a recent Instagram Live Q&A, Megan said: “I felt like, why did I get shot? Like, what did I do? It was insane. But s*** was crazy, and I feel like some people think that it’s funny, and I feel like some people think that it’s a joke, and I feel like some people think that they’re saying it to get to me.”

She added: “I don’t understand. I felt very betrayed by all my friends. I felt very shocked, very scared. But the one thing that y’all need to know about me is, I’m not a person who is able to be down for a long time… I don’t like to be victimised.”

50 Cent recently issued an apology to Megan for joking about her shooting by reposting a meme about the incident online.

Megan’s new single “WAP” with Cardi B came out earlier this week, accompanied by a music video featuring Kylie Jenner and Rosalia.
