Megan Pete — famously known as Megan Thee Stallion and, also, MY MOTHER — has claimed that her boyfriend of less than a year, Klay Thompson, cheated on her, and the internet (and especially myself) are riding for her at dawn!!!
ICYMI, the “Mamushi” rapper set the internet on fire over the weekend after she posted a scathing Instagram Story, claiming that the NBA player had cheated on her and had second thoughts about being in a monogamous relationship, despite being with Megan for the last nine months.
“Cheating, had me around your family playing house… got ‘cold feet’,” the IG story began.
“Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? B*tch, I need a REAL break after this one… Bye y’all.”
In a statement to E! News, Megan doubled down on her scathing message, confirming that she and Klay have parted ways.
“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she said.
“Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward.”
The “Hot Girl Summer” singer went on to add that she will be “taking this time to prioritise” herself and that she will “move ahead with peace and clarity”.
At the time of writing, Klay has not responded to Megan’s scathing IG Story nor the claims. But, it appears the internet might be waaaay too fired up for any kind of response… right now.

With a majority of the world being absolute HOTTIES — the stan label used for Megan Thee Stallion fans — everyone and their mothers were left gobsmacked by Klay’s alleged infidelity.
Honestly, the break-up does come as a surprise, considering how public Megan was with sharing her relationship with Klay.
Back in November 2025, Megan shared an intimate look into their relationship by revealing that she cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner for him and his family, as well as ordered in decorations for the festivities.
Also, her 2025 hit “Lover Girl”, which samples Total’s “Kissin’ You”, was created with Klay in mind.
Again, Megan’s claims regarding cheating have yet to be confirmed or denied by the NBA player, but regardless. My hope in love continues to dwindle every day when stuff like this hits the timeline.
