Megan Barton Hanson wants to donate sex toys as show of gratitude to NHS workers

Megan Barton Hanson wants to donate sex toys to NHS workers, as her way of thanking those on the frontline against coronavirus.

The 26 year old, who rocketed to fame on 2018's Love Island, praised those fighting the deadly bug day in day out, and said she'd like to reward them for all they've done.

"It would be a great idea to do a team up with Ann Summers and do a giveaway for the NHS," she told New magazine.

"It's such an awful time right now, but but it's so inspiring and I'm so proud of how we've all come together and supported each other through this difficult time."

Megan's all about body and pleasure positivity, and during lockdown has made it her mission to help sexually frustrated housebound women all over the UK.

She launched Megan Loves, a line of sex toys that she'd selected, adding: "I'm really proud to launch 'Megan Loves', my own edit of toys that I wanted to share with you all.

"As Director of the Pleasure Positivity Project, I've been speaking to the sex toy experts at Ann Summers and selected my favourites."

She's also been starkly honest about her struggles in lockdown, revealing she's been fighting an anxiety battle - but she was helped in that fight by the kind words of a fan.

Megan shared a social media post from the fan in which they told they'd seen her in a shop and thought she looked gorgeous.

"This made me smile," she wrote, "I felt like a sack of s**t.

"I haven't washed my hair in days. I'm a little down. Things haven't worked out as planned, the world has been turned upside down!

"My anxiety gets bad when I go places and I don't feel good in myself.

"I get worried people will come up to me and think I'm rude or ignorant because I'm not super happy and this loud person I was perceived to be on TV.

"But yeah, it may seem shallow but the main takeaway from this is that I probably looked miserable as f**k and like my hair needed a good wash, but a stranger has gone out of their way to say something kind on social media."
