Megan Barton Hanson was criticised after she took a savage swipe at Wes Nelson as she shut down any hope of rekindling their romance.
The Love Island pair split earlier this year, seven months after meeting on the ITV2 show, with Barton Hanson accusing Dancing on Ice bosses of sabotaging their relationship after pairing Nelson with Vanessa Bauer on the series.
Asked on Instagram if she would ever get back with Nelson, she replied: “Rather s*** in my hands and clap.”
Fans were quick to condemn her explicit comment, with many insinuating she is two-faced for publicly calling out Nelson despite trying to raise awareness for mental health.
One user posted: “Don’t get me wrong how Wes May have treated you may be wrong but trying to embarrass him publicly is not on.”
Another wrote: “You made yourself a little smaller today...I still love ya but to be honest I expected better from you...this is beneath you I hope it’s a one time mistake!”
A third commented: “Awful thing to say.”
Another wrote: “That’s such a disgusting comment can you not just leave it.”
Barton Hanson's comment comes hours after it was reported Nelson has been dating Instagram model Lissy Roddy. The pair met at a fashion party in Dublin thrown by online clothing brand Nasty Gal, according to The Sun.
A source told the publication: “He's been seeing Lissy for a few weeks now. Although it's early days, they've been inseparable and they're having a great time together.”

Nelson previously shut down any chance of a reunion with Barton Hanson after being grilled on their relationship on Loose Women.
“I don’t think so, no,” he said. “It’s sad but sadly I don’t think so. We haven’t spoken in a good amount of time. Sometimes its civil, sometimes it’s not. I’m happy to be civil. I’m not malicious or bitter. Whatever happens, happens.”
