Megan Barton Hanson 'flattered' by Dele Alli but squashes any hint of romance with Tottenham star

Megan Barton Hanson has already squashed any Dele Alli romance rumours, saying she is “flattered” but “not looking for anything serious”.

Reports claimed that the Tottenham and England footballer – who has recently split from girlfriend Ruby Mae - had set his sights on Barton Hanson after meeting on a night out last weekend.

But the Love Island star has dashed any hopes of a new star-studded romance because she “doesn’t want anything serious”.

A source told Standard Online: “Megan is very flattered, but she’s not looking for anything serious.”

Standard Online contacted representatives for Alli but they declined to comment.

Barton Hanson’s love life hit the headlines earlier this year when she called time on her relationship with Wes Nelson, who is currently competing on Dancing On Ice.

Heartbroken Barton Hanson announced the break-up of their seven-month relationship with a statement parodying Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s “conscious uncoupling” statement.

The 24-year-old initially took aim at Nelson’s DOI partner Vanessa Bauer, accusing her of being “tactical” by announcing her own split just hours before the two made their skating debut.

She later accused the show’s producers of engineering the break-up, blasting them for “pairing Nelson with the hottest and youngest dancer”.

Despite Barton Hanson’s fury, Nelson insisted that the pair remain “amicable” and denied that he “didn’t fight for the relationship”, as per Barton Hanson’s claims.

She recently revealed she is open to dating men and women in the wake of their split, saying she wants to use her platform to break down the taboo around bisexuality.
