Megan Barton Hanson breaks silence on hospital dash: 'I've never been so scared'

Megan Barton Hanson has broken her silence over her early morning hospital dash, admitting, "I've never been so scared."

The Love Island star was rushed to A&E by ambulance on Wednesday, forcing her to miss a planned trip to Los Angeles.

While no official reason was given for her collapse, sources have since claimed it was a nut allergy.

Megan marked her return to social media with a sultry picture of her laid on a wooden floor wearing a mesh sparkled catsuit.

"The comeback is always stronger than the set back," she wrote, opening up about her ordeal.

"Finally starting to feel a little more human again, I’ve never been so scared!" she continued.

"When the doctor looks at you in shock and says we need to call an ambulance right now, a day before I was due to fly to LA. Thank you all so much for your well wishes and support it means so much. Meg xx "

Earlier this week an insider claimed she suffered an allergic reaction.

"[She] went into hospital in the early hours after suffering pain and discomfort throughout the night," the source said.

Before her health crisis, Megan had handed out advice to fans on getting a cervical smear test.

"Cervical cancer doesn’t discriminate – one of the best ways to prevent it is by going to your screening when invited. While we’re all really busy, it’s important to take ten minutes out of your day to prioritise your health," she told heat magazine in an interview she shared to her Instagram Story.

"You walk in and have a little chat about the test with the nurse, who explains what she's going to do.

"Then, you lie on a bed and have the test - that’s literally it, the whole appointment is over in 10 minutes. In fact, it's so quick that you can literally go on your way to work!"
