Megan Barton-Hanson admits she hasn't washed her hair in days amid anxiety battle

Megan Barton-Hanson admitted she hasn't washed her hair for days and feels "like a sack of s**t" as she opened up about her anxiety battle.

The former Love Island star gave fans an insight into her struggle as she shared a kind message from a fan that had cheered her up on a bad day.

Stunning model Megan, 26, posted a message from a fan that read: "Just saw Megan Barton in tescos and nearly died she is absolutely STUNNING"

One of her friends joked: "U turning?"

And the fan responded: "no she really is beautiful"

The post clearly gave Megan a much-needed self confidence boost.

Sharing it on her Instagram story, she wrote: "This made me smile. I felt like a sack of s**t. I haven't washed my hair in days. I'm a little down. Things haven't worked out as planned, the world has been turned upside down!

"My anxiety gets bad when I go places and don't feel good in myself.

"I get worried people will come up to me and think I'm rude or ignorant because I'm not super happy and this loud person I was perceived to be on TV.

"But yeah, it may seem shallow but the main takeaway from this is that I probably looked miserable as f**k and like my hair needed a good wash, but a stranger has gone out of their way to say something kind on social media."

Megan has been vocal about suffering from anxiety in the past, and told of how she was bullied by women from her hometown when she began working as a stripper.

She says she was targeted with "negative" comments by women, and prefer spending time with men because they're less "stressful".

She once said: "I’ve suffered from anxiety in the past – I feel like I’m more of an introvert person like Doctor Alex.

"I’m normally friends with boys; girls tend to come with a lot of drama and politics. Life is stressful enough so usually I just hang around with guys.

"Dancing in the small town where I grew up meant a lot of girls had an opinion so I faced a lot of negativity – I just stepped away from all girls."
