A mega cruise ship made a return visit to Liverpool as part of its tour of the British Isles.
The luxury Celebrity Apex made its way up the River Mersey today (Wednesday) and was due to set sail at around 7pm for Belfast, before returning to Amsterdam on September 11.
It is a fairly new ship from Celebrity Cruises, with its first launch being in May 2019. The huge liner, which has a capacity for 2,910 people across 14 decks, made its inaugural visit to Liverpool's cruise terminal back in May of this year.

Celebrity Apex includes a brand new feature known as the 'Magic Carpet' which it says "breaks from traditional ship design". The company said: "The Magic Carpet is a cantilevered, floating platform that reaches heights of 13 stories above sea level.
"Majestically situated on the starboard side of the ship, it makes Celebrity Apex’s sleek profile recognizable from miles away. Designed with comfortable seating, a full bar, and space for live music performances, it truly is a destination itself."
It also has a casino, a resort deck with outdoor pool, 'Eden' which is a venue space and 29 food and drink "experiences". There are currently 21 itineraries booked in for the Celebrity Apex including tours of Scandinavia, Iceland and the Mediterranean.
Prices start at around £1,500 per person and you can see the full schedule here.
