Oasis mega fans are lining up for band merchandise ahead of the UK band's first night of its sold-out Australian tour.

Harry Steele has flown from Perth and bought tickets for all three nights of the band's Melbourne concerts, which he estimates cost about $1200.

"I spent way too much," the 19-year-old said.

"But I don't care, they're my favourite band, if I'm going to Melbourne, I'm gonna do it big."

Already sporting an Oasis jacket, Steele was one of dozens lined up outside the band's official pop-up merchandise stall in Melbourne Central shopping centre, where pre-booked entry spots are booked out.

He was hoping to add an Oasis T-shirt to his collection, and expects to spend another $300.

Another dedicated fan, Jia Yu, said her knees hurt from standing - she had been waiting for the doors to open since 7am on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old is proof that Oasis fandom spans generations - she first stumbled across Oasis on YouTube, because its algorithm worked out that she liked rock music, she explained.

"Most people think Oasis is for an older generation, and I don't want people to get mad at me."

But she quietly admitted to a next-level appreciation of both the Gallagher brothers, who are in their fifties: "They are so good looking," she said.

The Live '25 reunion tour has so far seen Liam and Noel bring their stadium-filling charms to the UK, US, Mexico, Canada, Korea, and Japan.

The tour comes 16 years after the band's 2009 split, when Noel Gallagher quit following a backstage brawl in Paris.

The band will play three nights at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium before two more dates at Sydney's Accor Stadium.
