Meezaan Jaaferi has made a lasting impression with his first two films ‘Hungama 2’ and ‘Malaal’. ETimes has it that producer Ratan Jain wants to work with him again. Inspired by what he saw in ‘Hungama 2’, Jain has decided to produce a thriller with Javed Jaaferi's son, which will be directed by Priyadarshan.
When ETimes contacted Jain he said, “It is too early for me to comment on this, as there are three more principal characters who are yet to be finalised. Only after that will I be able to speak on the subject”.
Meezaan, who has worked as an assistant director with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, was launched by the filmmaker in ‘Malaal’. Unfortunately, the film failed to make an impression at the box office. But the young actor has been getting offers and is on the verge of locking in some more projects.
A few days ago, trade circles were abuzz with reports that Meezaan and Abhishek Bachchan may be coming together for a film.
Around the release of ‘Hungama 2’ Meezaan was in the news for his rumoured relationship with Abhishek's niece Navya Naveli Nanda. However, speaking to ETimes, he had clarified that he and Navya became friends because of his sister Alaviaa and Navya being best friends. “They both studied together in New York. Plus, our family- hers and mine- are in movies. So we know each other,” he'd clarified.
