Meet the West Lothian dogs still looking for a forever home in lockdown

Due to the ongoing  coronavirus crisis, the Dogs Trust's rehoming centre for Edinburgh is currently closed to the public.

However, the centre in West Calder,  West Lothian  is now able to start looking for new homes for some of the amazing dogs in their care.

Self-isolation is tough for everyone but there's never been a better time to dedicate attention to a  new four-legged friend  who needs love and care.

With only a small number of dogs ready for a new home immediately, the Dog's Trust expect them to be very popular as they temporarily trial a new 'handover at home' service where they bring your new friend to you.

There's a lot of beautiful pooches looking for a home at the centre but 4 are currently available to adopt right now:

Indi

Indi is a 1 year old Rottie cross and an excitable young dog that loves long walks and playing calm games with her toys. She can sometimes take her time getting to know new people but does make friends easily.

Indi is looking for a quiet, adult only home in a rural environment with new owners who have owned similar dogs before.

She would like to be the only pet in the home where she can have you all to herself.

Layton Longlegs

Layton Longlegs is an energetic 3 year old boy who is super excitable and is happy to say hello to everyone. He loves going for long walks and meeting dogs of his size, although he can be shy at first he is very affectionate once he knows you.

He is looking for an owner who has had dogs before and who would be happy to keep him on lead.

Ria

Ria is a gorgeous girl who is very sweet and gentle. Ria can be a bit worried when she first meets someone but will quickly make friends and enjoy cuddles.

Ria is deaf and would be looking for family with deaf dog experience to help her settle in to her new home.

Luke Longlegs

Luke Longlegs is a 2 year old Lurcher and a super friendly boy who loves his family. He is happy to say hello to everyone he meets and can live with children over the age of 10 years old. Luke Longlegs can meet other dogs outside on his walks but would prefer to be the only pet in the home.
