A woman in Surrey has claimed the top spot for the weirdest Christmas traditions - by eating and drinking only anything pink.
Debbie Hoare was crowned the winner for transforming her home into a pink wonderland for the festive season.
Not only does Debbie have a pink Christmas tree and decorations, but she also wears pink clothes and only has pink food and drink.
Debbie, 48 from Guildford, entered the competition - ran by SCS - to find the UK’s most weird and wonderful Christmas Day practices.
It comes during the year where normality and tradition has gone out of the window - including lots of decorations going up much earlier than usual.
Debbie says: “We have a pink Christmas! I eat pink food, like pink macaroons, and drink pink drinks, like pink Champagne. I also add pink food colouring to my sponge and pastry mixes so I can have pink mince pies!
“We like to have a CD on playing Christmas music, but we always substitute 'white' for ‘pink’ in the lyrics.”
She will now receive a new sofa set worth £640.
ScS' research also found that one in ten Brits will eat their Christmas dinner while sat on the sofa, and nearly a fifth will leave the TV on throughout.
