Meet the presenters of brand new BBC daytime show Clean It Fix It

Meet the presenters behind the brand new BBC home makeover show Clean It, Fix It.

The new daytime programme will see the expert team have just one day to help a household fall back in love with their home with easy and practical improvements.

Extreme cleaner Maxine Dwyer, skilled carpenter Asher Edwards and building legend, Tommy Walsh are the new recruits taking on the challenge.

The BBC series will feature ten episodes and is due to air on BBC One on Monday, November 8.

Ahead of the TV programme starting next week, the team who will feature have revealed their thoughts on the new series.

Maxine Dwyer revealed her personal highlight from filming for the new series.

"There’s an episode where I had to put on a wetsuit to clean a bathroom! I even shocked myself with the result - it was a beautiful transformation.

"I cried during one of the transformations.

"We were at a bungalow with a retired couple and the husband has mobility issues.

"They were struggling to make the most out of their space and we worked hard to make it accessible for them. It was very emotional but incredibly rewarding."

Being asked what makes Clean It, Fix It stand out from other home makeover shows, celebrity builder Tommy Walsh said: "I think it’s done with a lot of empathy.

"It’s important not to point a finger at people, because we can all find ourselves in a similar situation.

"What we do is give people a platform that will hopefully help resolve some of the issues many of us face when trying to keep our homes tidy.

"We give people a foundation to build on, and continue to live brighter, happier lives."

Carpenter Asher Edwards revealed he wanted to take part in the show to help homeowners improve their own DIY skills.

He explained: "The idea of helping people and spreading DIY knowledge so homeowners can think outside the box in order to enjoy their homes again.

"From reusing different furniture in new ways to upcycling to being more creative in their space, you can always make something that’s just as nice as the things you can buy."

On Monday's episode, the Clean It, Fix It team is heading to the home of a busy entrepreneur who has no time to fix her house.

They are tasked with organising the messy living room into a space that the whole family can use and where she can run her business effectively - while cleaning and organising months of clutter and grime.

The first episode will air on BBC One on November 8 from 3.45pm.
