Well, here it is—meet the new Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC ahead of its official debut. Red Bull released a video on its YouTube channel showing the new performance car alongside a host of race cars and classic Mustangs, driven by Formula 1 legend Max Verstappen.
While we still don’t have full details on the latest Ford Pony Car, the video gives us a good idea of what to expect. This new Mustang carries over the Dark Horse name but adds two letters to denote its even more aggressive nature: SC. (Although we still don’t know exactly what those letters stand for).
The car features a unique front end and custom carbon fiber wheels, a larger rear spoiler, and a lower ride height, all set to a menacing soundtrack. Based on the teasers we’ve already seen, it definitely sounds like there’s a supercharger under the hood, paired to a powerful V8.
In the video, they call it the "most advanced, powerful, and track-capable Dark Horse ever." While they don't go so far as releasing actual performance figures, we can imagine the SC will be even more powerful than the base Dark Horse. The standard model puts out 500 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8
Unfortunately, we won’t know all the details until the car debuts in full tomorrow. For now, here’s a small taste.
Motor1's Take: We'll never say no to a more powerful Mustang. Even though we still don't know all the details (stay tuned tomorrow morning), it sounds like this new Dark Horse SC packs a pretty serious punch.
