Jasmin Heaney makes thousands every month on the subscription service, with her earnings peaking during the pandemic.
The website allows creators to share explicit snaps and videos with fans in exchange for a monthly fee.
And the 23-year-old said she had no problem sharing her new job with her understanding parents.
She told the Irish Mirror: "My mam and dad said that once you're not negatively hurting yourself and it's not impacting anyone's life in a harmful way, do what you want to do. But be safe, don't be silly, think about what you do beforehand, whatever you put out there will follow you, not in a negative way, but it will be attached to you forever.
"I sat with my mam and my dad and just said this is what I'm doing. Obviously I didn't go into too much detail with my dad in terms of the actual content, but you can google what OnlyFans is.
"I worked in retail for eight years, and this last year can't even compare. Now I have an accountant, I have my own business, I'm the owner of my own company, you can't really fault it. And they were saying, if that's what you want, they're proud of me regardless."
The Dubliner added that her dating life has changed very little, and that most boyfriends have no issue with it either.
She continued: "I've had a boyfriend while doing it, but the reason we broke up wasn't even anything to do with the OnlyFans, just personal issues.
"I've been on numerous dates, but I think I'm just at a place where I don't want a relationship at the minute. It has changed some guy's perspective on me but at the end of the day if they don't respect me or my job, then it's not a guy I want to be with regardless.
"Many OnlyFans girls are in serious, long term relationships, and it hasn't affected them at all. Some guys will feel that way but it's their problem not mine, that's just people who haven't educated themselves on what we're doing, they're just too egotistical to accept and understand it's just a job.
"Some guys it has made them seem different, but they're not guys I want to be with regardless.
Jasmin revealed she has also received offers from a number of reality TV shows including the UK series Naked Attraction, but said she has other long-term goals.
She added: "Because of how big OnlyFans is getting, there are a lot of opportunities, with modelling, people wanting specific OnlyFans girls for shows, there's a lot more you can get into. If you build up a following on Instagram you can go down the influencer route there.
"But I'm starting to do some investing now. I'm going to invest in property hopefully within the next year or two because of the money I've set aside, I'm going to go down that kind of route. When you have the money there, which I do because I am making it and I'm saving it, that's the route I want to go down."
