Public Leaders is the Guardian’s online network for professionals who plan, design, lead and work in public services. It’s one of our five Society Professionals networks.
There are 28,000 members of the network, from central and local government, criminal justice, charities and the private sector, who contribute to our coverage of public services policy and leadership. Once a year, in November, we invite nominations from our community to our editorial advisory board.

Jane Dudman, editor
Jane is editor of the Public Leaders Network and was previously associate editor of Public, the Guardian’s publication in print and online for public managers. Jane joined the Guardian in 2007 after working for many years as a freelance journalist, specialising in business and technology. She also edits the Guardian’s Housing Network.

- Tamsin Rutter, journalist
Tamsin Rutter is a full-time journalist on the Public Leaders Network. She joined the Guardian in 2013, after completing a masters in journalism at Sheffield University. She has previously worked at the South China Morning Post.

- Dawn Foster, journalist
Dawn Foster, freelance writer and columnist, works part-time on the Public Leaders Network and the Guardian Housing Network. She writes a regular Friday column for the Housing Network. Dawn was previously deputy features editor on Inside Housing and a member of the Guardian’s Comment is Free team. She is a regular commentator on Newsnight, Sky News and other broadcast channels.

Naomi Larsson, journalist
Naomi Larsson works part-time as a journalist on the Public Leaders and Housing Networks. She graduated with an MA in magazine journalism from City University in 2015; her course included running a website for Generation Rent.

On Society Professionals, we run campaigns across all five of our networks, such as our Clock Off campaign for better work/life balance, our campaign on domestic abuse and Beveridge Revisited: the 21st century evils.
