Gogglebox has taken the nation by storm ever since it first appeared on our screens back in 2013.
The show takes us into the living rooms of the average TV watcher to get their take on the latest news, shows and movies.
But while the focus may be on the hilarious commentary many of the people featured on the show provide, we also get a glimpse at the adorable ensemble of dogs owned by the families.
Some of the dogs have become almost as famous as the families themselves, and the canine cast are every bit as crucial to the show.
Here’s our who’s who of dogs on Channel 4’s Gogglebox:
The Malones’ Rottweilers
One of the most popular families on the show, the Malones have been on Gogglebox since 2014, and their Rottweilers have also been a mainstay.
Dave, Bob and Lucy can still be seen sharing the sofa with their human counterparts.
Sadly, since 2014, two of the family’s dogs have passed away, with Frank and Izzey no longer around after the former died in the earlier seasons of the show and the latter more recently in July 2021.
The family wrote at the time: “Our beautiful girl Izzey ,RIP xx We are going to miss you and your gentle ways so very much .Thank you for looking after the Grandkids.”
Ellie Warner’s Greyhounds
The hilarious duo of Ellie and her sister Izzi Warner have been bringing the laughs since they joined the show in 2015.
Leeds-native Ellie is the proud owner of two greyhound pups Mick and Madge, with Madge being the more recent addition to the family.
The Lustig-Webb’s Poodles
Stephen, an original member of the Gogglebox cast, and his husband Daniel share their Brighton home with three poodles, Babs, Princess and Betsy.
The furry trio often make an appearance on the show, joining their owners on the sofa, and are often seen on their owners Instagram.
Dave and Shirley’s French Bulldogs
First coming to the show in 2015, Caerphilly couple Dave and Shirley have become firm favourites, alongside their two French Bulldogs Bleu and Rupert.
The couple regularly post pictures of their two dogs on Twitter and Instagram, with Rupert being the newest addition.
Back when they first got the pup, they gushed on Instagram: “This soon to be blue's new partner in crime, a welcome addition to the Griffiths household #Frenchie #Gogglebox.”
Pete and Sophie’s Shih Tzu and Corgi
Blackpool siblings Pete and Sophie have been fan favourites for quite some time, having the audience in stitches with their constant witty remarks.
The brother and sister are proud owners of a beautiful Shih Tzu and an adorable Corgi, named Elvis and Pete.
Pete the Corgi puppy was introduced to Gogglebox fans at the start of the year, when he jumped all over the coffee table while the pair cooed over the new addition.
