This adorable baby donkey has joined the cast of a popular County Durham show - after being born on set.
The foal, which is yet to be named, made her grand entrance during the first full rehearsal of Kynren in Bishop Auckland.
Now, she has joined the 1,000 strong cast and crew as well as the many animals set to perform in the outdoor show that tells the tale of English history.
Anna Warnecke, director of Cavalry and Estates, said: "We had been expecting mum Matilda to give birth for a few days now but the foal definitely demonstrated perfect dramatic timing by arriving right in the middle of the first full rehearsals.
"Both mother and baby are doing really well and we're already looking at how we can include her in this year's performances of Kynren as she's clearly got star potential."
In addition to the donkeys, the team look after 33 performance horses who all have a key role in the show which will start on June 29 and run until mid-September.
The horses are all grey to make sure they stand out when it gets dark, but the breeds include Lusitanos, Percherons, Wielkopolskis and Kladrubers.
The cast and crew ranging in age from five to 82 years and work together with a team of professionals to bring the story of England's history to life.
Since its opening performance in 2016, Kynren is on track to bring half a million visitors to the North East by 2020.
