Meet the 2019 ALL-USA Preseason High School Boys Soccer Team

The ALL-USA Preseason Boys Soccer Team for the 2019-20 season was selected by Sheldon Shealer from TopDrawerSoccer.com in coordination with USA TODAY High School Sports, based on past performance, level of competition and strength of schedule. Only players from states that compete in the fall season were considered.

<p><strong>Yaya Bakayoko</strong><br/><strong>School:</strong> Martin Luther King (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.)<br/><strong>Position:</strong> Midfielder<br/><strong>Class:</strong> 2020<br/><strong>College: </strong>undecided<br/><strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Bakayoko had 11 goals and 17 assists while playing a major part in MLK's undefeated, PSAL title-winning 2018 campaign. <p><strong>Sammed Bawa</strong><br/><strong>School:</strong> Taft School (Watertown, Conn.)<br/><strong>Position:</strong> Forward<br/><strong>Class: </strong>2020<br/><strong>College: </strong>North Carolina<br/><strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Bawa scored 26 goals and had 12 assists during a junior season in which he was selected to the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Class A first team. <p><strong>Ben Bender</strong><br/><strong>School:</strong> Calvert Hall (Baltimore, Md.)<br/><strong>Position:</strong> Midfielder/Forward<br/><strong>Class: </strong>2020<br/><strong>College: </strong>Maryland<br/><strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Strong, powerful player guided Calvert Hall to a playoff appearance. <p><strong>Drew Blackwell</strong><br/><strong>School:</strong> Salesianum (Wilmington, Del.)<br/><strong>Position:</strong> Midfielder<br/><strong>Class:</strong> 2020<br/><strong>College: </strong>New Hampshire<br/><strong>Noteworthy: </strong>Blackwell scored twice in both the state semifinal and final last season. <p><strong>Alex Canfield</strong><br/><strong>School:</strong> Crystal Lake (Ill.) South<br/><strong>Position:</strong> Forward<br/><strong>Class:</strong> 2020<br/><strong>College:</strong> undecided<br/><strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Canfield was the Northwest Herald Player of the Year. <p><b>Cao Chaves</b><br/><b>School: </b>St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.)<br/><b>Position:</b> Defender<br/><b>Class: </b>2020<br/><b>College: </b>undecided<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> Chaves anchored a St. Benedict's defense that allowed only five goals during an 18-0 season. <p><b>Akeim Clarke</b><br/><b>School:</b> Loomis Chaffee (Windsor, Conn.)<br/><b>Position:</b> Forward<br/><b>Class:</b> 2020<br/><b>College: </b>North Carolina<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> Clarke is an emerging talent who helped Loomis Chaffee to a 15-2-3 season in 2018. <p><strong>Khamari Culcleasure</strong><br /> <strong>School:</strong> Northfield Mount Hermon (Gill, Mass.)<br /> <strong>Position: </strong>Goalkeeper<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2020<br /> <strong>College:</strong> Princeton<br /> <strong>Noteworthy:</strong> The New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Class A first team selection recorded an 0.50 goals against average. <p><strong>Parker Csiszar</strong><br /> <strong>School: </strong>Medina (Ohio)<br /> <strong>Position:</strong> Forward<br /> <strong>Class: </strong>2020<br /> <strong>College:</strong> undecided<br /> <strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Csizar finished with 6 goals and nine assists while leading Medina to a state title in 2018. <p><b>Thaddaeus Dewing</b><br/><b>School:</b> Air Academy (Colo.)<br/><b>Position: </b>Forward<br/><b>Class:</b> 2020<br/><b>College:</b> undecided<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> Dewing was the Gazette Preps and Colorado Class 4A all-state Player of the year. <p><b>Hassane Diakho</b><br/><b>School:</b> South Kent School (Conn.)<br/><b>Position: </b>Defender/Midfielder<br/><b>Class:</b> 2020<br/><b>College: </b>undecided<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> Diakho was considered by the coaches as the top talent at the Allstate all-America Cup. The rising senior helped South Kent School to a New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Class B semifinal appearance in 2018. <p><b>Jamis Fite</b><br/><b>School:</b> Loomis Chaffee (Windsor, Conn.)<br/><b>Position:</b> Goalkeeper<br/><b>Class:</b> 2020<br/><b>College:</b> undecided<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> Fite earned Man of the Match honors at the Allstate All-America Cup. <p><strong>Spencer Hanks</strong><br/><strong>School:</strong> Arundel (Gambrills, Md.)<br/><strong>Position:</strong> Midfielder/Forward<br/><strong>Class: </strong>2020<br/><strong>College: </strong>UMBC<br/><strong>Noteworthy: </strong>Hanks was a Baltimore Sun All-Metro first team and Washington Post All-Metro second team selection. <p><b>Pranav Jha</b><br/><b>School:</b> Pingry School (Basking Ridge, N.J.)<br/><b>Position:</b> Forward<br/><b>Class:</b> 2020<br/><b>College:</b> Georgetown<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> Jha has a breakout season season at Pingry School, leading the team in scoring with 12 goals.</p><p><em>Photo: Bruce H. <p><b>Ty Konrad</b><br/><b>School: </b>Naperville (Ill.) <p><b>Noah Madrigal</b><br/><b>School:</b> Peoria  (Ill.) Notre Dame<br/><b>Position:</b> Forward<br/><b>Class:</b> 2020<br/><b>College: </b>undecided<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> Madrigal scored 41 goals to add to an impressive career that includes three appearances on the Chicagoland all-state team. <p><b>Matthew McLaughlin</b><br/><b>School:</b> St. Ignatius (Cleveland, Ohio)<br/><b>Position:</b> Forward<br/><b>Class: </b>2020<br/><b>College:</b> Notre Dame<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> McLaughlin ended the season with 16 goals and 17 assists as St. Ignatius went 18-2-2. <p><b>Brendan McSorley</b><br/><b>School: </b>Delbarton School (Morristown, N.J.)<br/><b>Position: </b>Forward<br/><b>Class:</b> 2020<br/><b>College:</b> Providence<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> McSorley was Delbarton's leading scorer with 13 goals and 13 assists. <p><b>Andrew Rosenbaum</b><br/><b>School: </b>Archmere Academy (Claymont, Del.)<br/><b>Position:</b> Midfielder<br/><b>Class:</b> 2020<br/><b>College:</b> South Carolina<br/><b>Noteworthy:</b> Rosenbaum was the top-rated underclassmen on the Delaware coaches all-state team in 2018.
