Meet Kiosk Kev's replacement on I'm a Celebrity after fans ask for Nessa from Gavin and Stacey

It's a question many I'm A Celebrity fans have been asking.

Now that the ITV reality show has moved from the jungle in Australia to a castle in Wales because of coronavirus, who will be the replacement for Kiosk Kev?

Kiosk Kev, the grumpy character in charge of the Outback Shack where the celeb contestants visit to cash-in their Dingo Dollars for treats for the camp, arrived in the jungle in 2018 to replace Kiosk Keith.

To win the luxury prize the celebrities had to answer the question he asked. If answered correctly gruff Kev would begrudgingly hand over the treat. If not he just shut up shack without a word.

Kev was played by Queensland lime farmer Mark Herlaar, also known as the 'Aussie Tarzan.'

And now he's been switched for Kiosk Cledwyn from Ye Olde Shoppe, or Yr Hen Siop, as it is known in Welsh.

Executive producer Tom Gould said: “He is Kiosk Kev’s long-lost Welsh cousin and he is every bit as grumpy.”

This year the contestants will be competing for Castle Coins, rather than Dingo Dollars.

Fans of I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! had suggested their ideal replacement for the shack would be no-nonsense Nessa from the comedy Gavin and Stacey who works in the arcade at Barry Island.

"If Nessa Shanessa Jenkins doesn’t replace kiosk Keith I’ll be well fuming," said one fan on Twitter.

"Petition to get Nessa to replace Kiosk Keith and for to go 'Oh, what's occurring?'' when the celebs come over," said another.

"Petition for Nessa to stand in at the kiosk shack this year," tweeted another viewer.

"Can we start a petition to get Nessa from Gavin and Stacy to replace Kisok Kev this year?" asked another eagerly.

"If they don’t have a Kiosk Nessa then ITV and Ant and Dec have missed a massive opportunity," suggested another.

Ten celebrities, including Corrie legend Beverley Callard, are now settling into their new home for the next three weeks at Gwrych Castle in Abergele on the show hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
