Meet, greet and eat: UFC fan DM’s Juan Adams inviting him to dinner; ‘The Kraken’ shows up

UFC heavyweight Juan Adams has made no secret of his feelings towards his opposite number Greg Hardy ahead of their eagerly-anticipated main card clash at UFC on ESPN 4.

But, despite the simmering rivalry that looks set to explode inside the octagon on fight night, it seems the 27-year-old from Houston is as chilled out and relaxed as ever heading into the contest.

Earlier this week, Adams enjoyed a fight-week meal with UFC fans including brothers Dylan and Preston Gonzalez. While working out what to do with their evening after the open workouts, Preston had an idea, and fired off a DM to Adams, inviting him to join them for dinner.

Brilliantly, Adams accepted, and spent some time chatting with his fans, signing a few of his fight week t-shirts and enjoying a little Tex-Mex at the city’s Mi Tierra restaurant before retiring back to his hotel to catch up on some sleep ahead of his big fight with Hardy.

Helpfully, among Adams’ group was fighter/photographer Mike “The Truth” Jackson, who was happy to capture the moment for posterity. And Dylan shared the pics of the meet-up via his Twitter account, saying: “So my brother DM’d UFC Heavyweight Juan Adams yesterday asking if he wanted to eat and he said yes so we ate with him and his team at Mi Tierra after the open workouts lmao.”

We’ve seen hundreds of fighters partaking in “meet and greet” sessions with fans, but with this impromptu “meet, greet and eat” session, it appears Adams and his team have taken things to a whole new level. We approve heartily.
