Meet Freddie... who we reckon is Manchester's first 2021 Christmas baby

The little bundle of joy arrived at two minutes past midnight.

Mum and dad Emma and Nick - and Freddie's big sister Elsie - couldn't be happier this Christmas Day.

It's the best gift they could have possibly wished for - a healthy, happy boy.

Little miracle Freddie was overdue.

Clearly, he decided December 25 was his time.

Freddie was born at North Manchester General Hospital weighing 4.22kg (9lbs 3oz to traditionalists).

Delighted mum Emma said: "He was overdue, so we were hoping to meet him before Christmas but he obviously had other plans!

"It is the best Christmas gift we could have wanted.

"The staff at the hospital have been wonderful all day - spreading festive cheer while taking care of me and our little boy.

"Elsie is thrilled to be a big sister, although she has been a little preoccupied with her presents today!

"It may not be the Christmas Day we had planned, but will be one we never forget."
