Medical emergency at Swansea Tesco supermarket sees large police and ambulance presence

Emergency services responded to a medical incident after a shopper was taken ill at a supermarket in Swansea .

The air ambulance and police were called to the incident at Tesco on Oystermouth Road at 11.50am on Saturday, November 16.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said officers managed traffic and pedestrians in the busy area while the air ambulance landed.

A spokesman for the Wales Ambulance Service said they received the call at 11.46am and sent an ambulance and rapid response vehicle.

He said the Wales Air Ambulance attended. No one was taken to Accident and Emergency.

A police car, police van and ambulance were seen in the supermarket car park.

Crews remained at the scene around 2.40pm - three hours after the initial call.
