MediaGuardian website relaunches

Welcome to the new look MediaGuardian website, on the day we relaunch in a new format.

Breaking media news remains at the heart of what we do, as it has done for the seven years since the MediaGuardian website launched, on September 5 2000.

In addition, the new format will allow us to add new elements - including video - and provide a better showcase for media-related content from across the Guardian and Observer newspapers and Guardian Unlimited website network.

In 'Latest news' at the top of the site, you'll find all you need to keep abreast of the developments across the sector, with stories provided by our experienced team of dedicated online reporters.

Below this, you can catch up with comment and analysis from MediaGuardian's blogs. Here we have a new addition, with our popular Media Monkey diary moving from a static page to its own blog, joining Organ Grinder (general media), Greenslade (press and journalism) and PDA (digital content).

The "More news & features" section of the home page is where we feature additional media-related content, including Monday's MediaGuardian section and the Observer's Business & Media.

Also, look out for more multimedia content including previews of new ads before they break, clips of upcoming TV show and interactive slideshows.

As always, the navigation bar at the top of the site will guide you to your favourite media sector - press & publishing, digital media, advertising, TV, radio, marketing & PR or City.

And if it's the MediaGuardian regulars you're after, check out the 'On this site' column on the right of the homepage. Here you'll find quick links to Media Monkey, Organ Grinder, Greenslade, PDA, the Media Talk podcast and more.

Readers interested in a particular sector or hot topic can also sign up for an RSS feed on every keyword page.

This relaunch is a work in progress - there will likely be tweaks and changes in the coming days and weeks as we refine the new format. So please let us know what you think.
