MediaGuardian 100: who did we miss?

What we've got: 100 names (and one TV show) in this year's MediaGuardian 100. What we want: a 101st.

We don't have smoke-filled rooms anymore, but if we did that was where we'd have been the last few weeks putting together the 10th MediaGuardian 100. We hope it enlightens, occasionally entertains, and doubtless infuriates with its selection of the 100 most powerful people in the media.

Which is where the 101st position comes in. We want you to tell us who we've missed off this year's list. It could be someone from the world of broadcasting, publishing, digital, advertising, marketing, the City ... or it might be someone who defies easy categorisation. The most powerful people tend to do that these days.

It could be a media veteran or it might be an up-and-coming talent. Tell us who you think is missing from the list and why they should be on it. But please – don't nominate yourself.

We'll launch a poll on some of the most popular suggestions in the next couple of days. Last year Take A Break editor John Dale was voted our 101st entry and returned to make this year's list in his own right, as did another of your suggestions, Rockstar Games founders Sam and Dan Houser. Your nominations count.
