Meanwhile, MPs are lobbying to reverse the cuts at the BBC World Service, while head of news Helen Boaden has criticised the culture of jetting out big-name presenters to major news stories. What do this all say about the governance at the corporation?
Also in the podcast, Dan Sabbagh bring us the latest on the phone-hacking saga, after another senior News of the World journalist was arrested just days after News International issued an apology and admitted liability in a number of cases involving 'voicemail interception'.
