Media Talk podcast: Johann Hari, BSkyB and Myspace

Matt Wells has Helen Zaltzman from the Answer Me This podcast in the Media Talk studio this week – as well as very special guest and blast from the past Emily Bell.

The panel begin by discussing the row over Johann Hari's alleged plagiarism, churnalism, and journalistic sleight of hand. He's called it "an error of judgment", but the Twitterati were unimpressed. We ask whether his reputation – and that of his paper, the Independent – been tarnished for good?

Also in the podcast, to no one's great surprise - Jeremy Hunt has given the green light to News Corporation's takeover of BSkyB. We look at the small print.

Plus, we analyse Rupert Murdoch's decision to sell Myspace for a song, and Google latest attempts to fight Facebook.

Finally, Vicky Frost pops in to roundup the best and the worst of the week's television.

We're not here next week, so we'll see you next on 15 July, and in the meantime have a listen, tweet us, or post your feedback on the blog below.
